Some tips that may save you a service call

The Bal-Tech Medical service and technical support department routinely helps clients resolve complicated – and simple – issues with their equipment.

Fortunately, most problems can be handled over the phone, by contacting our service line at 1-800-574-2152, ext. 106 and speaking to Bal-Tech Medical’s service manager Lou Sliva.

Lou offers some simple “check points” below to consider prior to contacting Bal-Tech Medical. Try these before making that call to save your time and money!

MOST COMMON ERRORS WHEN ENCOUNTERING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR LASER HANDPIECES

1) Clean gel from the heads (handpieces) – before and after use.

2) Secure the heads to the machine by keeping them on the designated hook or cradle. Keep hoses hanging free and upward by using plastic stick-on hooks applied to side of laser. This keeps the hose from hanging near the floor.

3) When not in use, store the head in the plastic case provided, along with any software discs.

4) It is a good idea to calibrate the heads every week or whenever you notice a change in the power output.

5) Always have a backup head on hand in case one fails.
