BAL-TECH MEDICAL ANNOUNCES NEW SERVICE PLANS

Bal-Tech Medical service technician Lou Sliva looks over a Vasculight Plus system prior to shipment to a client. Bal-Tech provides preventive maintenance and full service plans on all major laser models, microdermabradors and other medical cosmetic equipment.

Bal-Tech Medical announced July 1, 2004 that it is now offering full-service and preventive maintenance plans for most cosmetic medical lasers and IPL systems.

The new program, supported by General Electric Medical Systems laser technicians across the country, allows Bal-Tech Medical customers to have all of their equipment warrantied and serviced through Bal-Tech Medical – rather than through several manufacturers.

The new offerings also allow Bal-Tech customers to realize significant savings over other maintenance contracts or programs they have secured from manufacturers in the past.

"We are excited about this program, mainly because of the reliability, expertise and ethical representation that General Electric brings to the Bal-Tech programs," said Richard Balance, president of Bal-Tech Medical.

"It has always been Bal-Tech's philosophy and business model to help its clients avoid unnecessary expenditures when purchasing equipment, but there is also much money to be saved on the service side as well," Balance said.

"The rates for our program levels - the full service, the preventive maintenance or the labor-only rates - will be value-oriented and, most importantly, we will only recommend appropriate service coverage, nothing more," Balance added.

"This will enable our clients to put more money into their pockets vs. spending it on excessive warranties that may not be necessary. GE will also be providing Bal-Tech very competitive time and material repair rates."

In addition to these new service offerings, Bal-Tech continues its reliable Luxar Co2 laser maintenance programs, and its microdermabrasion system service plans.

Those interested in receiving a quotation can do so by filling out a service application from the Bal-Tech Medical web site at www.bal-techmedical.com, or by calling the Bal-Tech office at 1-800-574-2152 to have a form faxed to you.

Once the application is filled out and sent back, a Bal-Tech Medical representative will contact the client with a price quote on the various levels of the service program.

SOME POINTERS TO HELP BAL-TECH CUSTOMERS WITH THEIR ORDERS

*Bal-Tech Medical strives to turn around orders in 12 to 24 hours. Under standard shipping circumstances, customers can expect to receive their orders in 5 to 7 business days, unless instructed otherwise. Bal-Tech Medical has been consistent with this customer service guideline, with the exception of back-orders. We will always inform customers when an item is on back-order.

*Here are some tips to avoid back-order problems:

1) Many customers have "standing orders" with Bal-Tech Medical and find it to be a tremendous help in keeping their supplies in stock (while also aiding Bal-Tech in maintaining adequate inventory levels). Their orders are completed at the same time each month, or every other month, etc.

2) Do not wait until you are out of, or in danger of running out of, a supply before ordering what you need. Those ordering corundum crystals for microdermabradors often run into this problem. There are two dangers in this approach. First, overnight shipping costs will run up your bill, sometimes 2 to 3 times more than normal ground shipping rates. This gets costly with corundum powder because of the weight. Second, there is an outside chance that the item will have to be back-ordered, making overnight delivery impossible.

3) If you order 44 or more pounds of corundum crystals each time you order, then order again when you have only one container left on your shelf. Keep in mind that one 11-pound container from Bal-Tech Medical will provide approximately 12 to 15 treatments, depending on the esthetician. This helps you judge via your treatment schedule, the timing of your orders.

*Laser tips are very light weight and it costs the same to ship 20 as it does one. If you use 20 tips in a month, it will save shipping costs by ordering them all at one time. If you order five tips four times a month you are spending four times the amount in shipping costs.

*Whenever it is time to order, it is wise to consider ordering more to avoid a second order and duplicating shipping costs. With the high cost of fuel, shipping companies are starting to pass that burden on to customers.
