Some tips that may save you a service call
The Bal-Tech Medical service and technical support department routinely helps clients resolve complicated – and simple – issues with their equipment.
Fortunately, most problems can be handled over the phone, by contacting our service line at 1-800-574-2152, ext. 106 and speaking to Bal-Tech Medical’s service manager Lou Sliva.
Lou offers some simple “check points” below to consider prior to contacting Bal-Tech Medical. Try these before making that call to save your time and money!
MOST COMMON ERRORS WHEN ENCOUNTERING
PROBLEMS WITH YOUR LUMENIS VASCULIGHT™ SYSTEM
1) The system will not operate with the emergency stop button engaged. You disengage this button by pulling up on it and twisting it.
2) The system will not operate if the floppy disk, used to back up data, is not removed from the computer. If you are having trouble starting the machine, make sure the floppy disk is removed.
3) System will signal errors if the water level is too low. Add distilled water to the system.
4) If the screen is blank and will not turn on, replace the internal battery in the computer.
5) Keep the system filters clean and store them properly. |

Bal-Tech Medical customers can save themselves time and money by using the company’s on-line shopping cart for supplies, disposables, marketing and training aids.

This will allow easy ordering and quick delivery of your items.
Clients from outside of the United States will be sent an e-mail prior to delivery to alert them of the extra shipping costs that may be involved. Clients must approve this expense before Bal-Tech Medical will deliver an order.
Bal-Tech customers can also order their waiting room DVDs on-line, in addition to viewing video samples through our link with the Laser Marketing Partners website.
“This is a much easier way for customers to place their orders at any time of the day,” said Kurt Westhoff, Bal-Tech Medical customer service manager. “But, even though we encourage customers to take advantage of easy ordering off the web site, we remain a company in which it is easy to call here and get a hold of employees who can help you answer questions or provide information that physicians may need.”
As an incentive to customers to try ordering on-line, Bal-Tech Medical will waive shipping fees on regular (non-overnight or rush) orders placed in the United States, and cut in half those rates outside of the United States.
